Drumming for the "junior" Eurovision Song Contest
Found myself in Pulse Studios in Dubli yetserday recording drums for the Irish entry of the "junior" Eurovision Song Contest. Was actually a very good song; arranged by the very talented Cian Boylan who brought to life the melodies that the song hinted at. I didn't meet the 13 year old girl who's operforming the lead track on it but heard her demo vocal...beautiful. Was joined by Keith Duffy on bass and Conor of Pulse on gtr. A couple of fabulous chaps.
Borrowed Dars's Ludwig Classic again (as mine is still being made in the States) and boy it sounded wonderful, big, fat and bouncy. Got something drum wise between Phil Spector, Supertamp, and early David Bowie. Was a fun day's work
